Hi, Aries here 👋

I’ve been an engineer for over nine years. I used to work on data security in the video conferencing industry; these days I mainly work on open-source private cloud storage.

My interests are a bit of a mix. I build tools for myself in my spare time and share them publicly. I’m exploring ways to live, hobbies, products, and approaches to AI that interest me. I believe AI will make the world a better place.

My ideas usually start as complaints about everyday annoyances: long X Articles without a table of contents, browser bookmarks that pile up and barely get used, or half an hour in the store dashboard uploading assets and checking listings and privacy details whenever an extension release needs an asset update.

With AI’s help, I can build small tools to deal with these problems without being held back by limited energy, the tech stacks I know, or complicated development docs. Thank you, AI.

These tools mostly solve my own problems and fit my own habits. They don’t have much broader appeal, so they don’t have many users (or so I keep telling myself). I’ve started releasing them publicly and keeping them updated, hoping more people will find them useful.

I write down thoughts, experiences, and whatever else is on my mind here. If you’re into games, anime, or badminton too, and hate AI slop, clickbait, and shouty slogans, maybe we could be friends.
